Default Car starts then dies, theft light not on

Alright I have a 1996 GT, Car starts, runs for two to three seconds and then dies, if i give it gas it will rev up but still dies within the same time frame. I hot wired the fuel pump and car still dies. If i turn key off really fast and then back on when engine is still rolling it will run for another2-3 seconds.Engine runs smooth for the short period it runs. The theft light is not on, so i believe pats is working fine, but i'm also not sure if the car would even start at all if the security system was working, Please help

Have you checked fuel filter? Start neutral as soon as it starts throw it in first then floor it.

Have you made any changes or replacements to the intake or anything at all?

I have not checked fuel filter, but I will , and if I hit the gas it just dies in the same 2-3 second time frame. And I just bought this car only mods are cold sir intake and flow master exhaust.

Car also had an aftermarket remote start system, I removed it because all the wires were very corroded.

First question' did this only start occurring after you had removed the remote starter kit?

If so the removal of the unit is most likely the probable cause of your problem. Hopefully you can back track over what you did, maybe get a starter wiring diagram and do a comparison. Google the name of the remote starter kit see if you can find a wiring diagram.

Just some ideas

I actually bought this car as non running, car had no spark or fuel before I removed remote start system, and fixed a couple bad wires, I'm starting to think it has to do with the pats system, theft light doesn't come on but it acts just like the pats system is keeping it from running. Wondering if I have a dead circuit

The theft light never comes on, not even when just turning key on

I wonder if the pats is working, but the bulb for the theft light is no good.
