Default Lost my only key!

So I lost the only key that I have to my 2002 GT. I've been calling dealerships to see if I could get a key cut with just my VIN. However, they all have said that the car is too old (pre 2005) and I am going to have to go to a locksmith. So my questions are:

Has anybody had to deal with this issue lately?
Is there an internet company I might be able to work with to get a key made?
If I need to go to a locksmith, will they be able to program the key into PATS?
Once I have a key, I also need to replace my key fob, can I just get one from ebay and program that into the car?
Any other suggestions that would help me out in this situation, or help me save some money?

Thanks in advance for the feedback.

Went through this same basic scenario about 8 months ago. Had a mobile locksmith come out to my house, cut and program 2 new keys. Only difference was I had an unprogrammed spare key for him to use for cutting the new ones, which saved him time and me a little $$. Total was about $200.

A local locksmith will come out and make a key for $175. I just looked into AAA discount and they will cover $100, so I guess that seems to be the best route.

If you don't have any working remotes the locksmith will also have to program your replacement so you might want to do it all at once in order to avoid additional "travel" billing by the locksmith.
