Default k member and header fittment

I'm looking into replacing the k member as well as swap the headers and mid pipe. I know tubular k members are advertised to make header install easier, but I was curious how much truth there is to it. I'm looking at long tubes, and because I'm not set in stone on where this build will be heading, I'm looking at maximum motorsports k member for hellion turbo set ups. Has anyone had issues with this set up?

UPR makes a tubular k-member kit specifically for use with the Hellion turbo kit, and we offer a forum discount as well. Please call us at 561.588.6630 if you'd like more information.

im running a mm k-member but not the hellion version. Overall I liked my and the install was simple and yes my long tubes had more room. My only complaint was the paint on there parts. I believe powder coating should have been done.

Thanks alot. The pictures do help, reviews are nonexistent on late model restoration for the product. Ive never dropped a kmember, is it absolutely necessary to remove the motor? Either way I'm sure it makes it a hell of a lot easier, but because of limited storage space I don't own a cherry picker.

ive done it both ways, dropping the k member is a lot easier if you have something to raise the car in the air. its 8 bolts in the k member, 4 it trans cross member, and any other connections (ie:fuel lines, brake lines.....)

I ended up getting one from QA1. It says to grind the control arm at the front pickup point. Any ideas on exactly what part I'm grinding on. I get its got to done for clearance, I don't want to grind the wrong place though.
