Motor Swap Issues - Advice Please
I just finished swapping a 97 gt motor into my 02 gt. Before anyone asks "why did you swap an NPI for a PI" it's because I got the motor for a bargain and I needed something to drive. And I'm kinda broke. So anyways...
I got the motor swapped in everything works. The car starts and runs but the idle is ridiculous. It will start idling at like 3000 then drop to 2500 and eventually settle at 1000ish. Then if I rev it it will sit back at where I revved it to for a couple seconds then drop back to 1000. I do have an exhaust leak from the headers to the hpipe on the drivers side. Could that be it?
Also the headers I put on the car are BBK chrome headers. And after about 10 minutes of running they're glowing orange because they're so hot. But engine temperature seems normal.
Any advice to help would be greatly appreciated. I really need to get my car back on the road.
