i have a 98 GT. i currently have17x8 and 17x10.5. i am going with some different wheels than the bullitts i have now.

the wheels i want are 17x9 +25mm and 17x10 +20mm

how much different will these look than the wheels i have now..

current:
17x8 +30mm
17x10.5 +28mm

how will they look if they even fit. will they stick out more or less than the 10.5's?

I've been researching that question myself, and what I've come up with is that the more offset you have the more the wheel sticks out, and the less offset you have the less clearance you have on the inner side. So, as long as the 17x10's with 20mm offset won't rub on the inside, you should be ok.

as for fitment, they offset is right on and should fit well.

I'm not seeing how it's the opposite looking at that chart. Positive offset moves the wheel outward, negative moves it inward. But, I'm no expert.

with zero offset, where the wheel bolts to the hub is dead center from insides to outside. With negative offset, it starts pushing the wheel towards the outside the car, while positive offset pulls the wheel inside the fender well.

the left side of the wheel is the inside. Im thinking you are talking about wheel back space instead of offset, in which you are correct. Back space is measured from the very inside of the wheel lip to the hub mounting surface, and is always positive. Wheel offset is the distance from the center of the wheel to the hub mounting surface, and can be a positive or negative number.

Example: +45 will stick out LESS than +30. The SMALLER the number is, the MORE it will stick out.
