Default Topping off Manual Transmission Fluid

I've found several posts saying that there is a plug near the top of the transmission underneath my 1997 manual Ford Mustang.

I have also found articles saying that overfilling a transmissions fluid is very bad.

I have a slow leak in my transmission, and normally have the trans topped off when I get my oil changed. They had no trans fluid to do this with, so I bought Mercon V Automatic Transmission and Power Steering Fluid & plan to do it myself.

Full disclosure, I have no idea what I'm doing. I found a video of what the trans looks like, and think I can find it. My main worry is that I will overfill my transmission... and what if I don't find this magic trans fluid fill nipple after all?

Halp?

Find the drain plug on the bottom. Move up the right side from there is the fill plug.

But don't fill it up all the way to the top fill plug, it should be about half an inch or so below the level of the top plug, just full enough that you can touch the fluid if you stick your finger in there.

^^^^Vehicle has to be level, either on stands or on lift.
