I'll see if Nitto lists the Revs for their tires.
I will say that with the 275/40-17's on the back and now the 315/35-17's it seemed the same, maybe a MPH or 2 difference.

man I don't know what else to suggest. Maybe you can go in to the diagnostic mode that allows us to get a digital display of the speed (in the trip/miles little screen). It also allows you to do a full sweep of the needles and see if the speed needle is sticking/lagging or something. i guess the only other option is a faulty vss.

That's pretty frick'n cool!
Also, the car came with the t-45 trans but I found a hand written list of "mods" in the owners manual pouch and it lists a t-5 trans. I wonder if they actually did a tranny swap for some reason. I know the final ratio of the two is different.
Is there an easy way to visually identify the transmission?

A T-5 tranny can also use a Speedo correction Gear. They are usually color coded...

I believe the T45 bell housing is integrated into the case (1-piece) and not attached with bolts like the T-5. Not certain though.
I guess the other thing you could check is the fact if there is a replaceable gear in where the speedo cable goes? If there is then you know it's a T5, if not, then it's a T45.
