Default looking for engine swap ideas for 02 gt

What are good engine builds for 02 gts? I'm thinking about swapping a coyote engine in it since everyone I know keeps shooting down my idea to upgrade my 2v.

Depends on your goal. I would just slap a supercharger on the 2V and be happy. Coyote would be an expensive and complex project, supercharging is much easier.

Well I've already looked into it and it would cost me 11000 for the coyote! I'm looking to be pushing 900 whp

$11,000?! I'd say save that money and just get an 11-14 Mustang GT altogether. I mean, you're also gonna have to get the trans, all the harnesses, a conversion kit, the ECU, as well as all the fabrication that will be needed. Projects like these are very expensive and takes a lot of experience and know how. I would not recommend it. If you're dead set on an engine swap, stick with a 96-98 Cobra engine swap. Or even a 99-01. Other swaps to consider include a 5.4 2V swap, a 5.4 DOHC swap. Any of those choices would be significantly easier than a Coyote swap.

Another thing, if you just want a faster car, then do like JC316 suggested and throw a supercharger on it. That will wake your car up tremendously. Later down the road, some ported heads and stage 1 or stage 2 cams will add another boost. On a built engine you should be able to push 15+ pounds. Add some headers and you'll be in the high 500s. A hit of nitrous will get you even more.

It wouldn't be cheap and probably won't get you to 900 but I've always thought building a 2v to rev out to 8-9K would be fun.

That would be a different build that I haven't heard anyone else doing before. Again, I don't know how feasible it would be but I've always thought that would be cool.

900 whp is a huge number and will take huge money to get it. Teksid block, all forged internals, 03/04 cobra heads, blower cams, and one big damned turbo. Why that number? 450rwp can be achieved on stock internals and will give you a lot of fun factor for cheaper.
