the other day driving home, everytime I pushed the clutch in to change gear, the engine would rev to 1500 rpm. also if just coasting down hill in neutral, the engine stays at 1500 rpm. this means that there is no compression braking. seems to happen more when its wet / raining.

any ideas plz,

I had it also, changed the idle air control and it got a lot better. It will still stick at 1100 rpm sometimes but doesn't bother me anymore.

How do you know when you need to adjust the idle?

ok, I took it off and cleaned it, seems to have fixed the problem, thanks guys !!!

My '05 will die when I come to a stop and at times the idle will fluctuate, drop to about 500 rpm and then die. Sometimes it will be fine but will die on me at least once or twice when I have it out. I've cleaned the MAF, the throttle body, the filter (I have a CAI and
brenspeed tunes) had the fuel filter changed, and run fuel injector cleaner. I guess about the only thing left is the fuel pump???
