Default helmet

I need to get a racing helmet to run my car at the local track, but I do not want to spend $300+ dollars on a helmet in a car that runs in the mid 14's more than likely. Where is a good place to find a descent, but relatively inexpensive race helmet?

If you're running 14s then why are you buying a helmet? Do you have weird track rules or something?

The strip by me always says you do but you just need to show it to them you don't really need to wear it.

Ya last time I went to the track I got kicked after running 2 back to back 13 runs

I think I'll get a helmet then just carry it passenger and put it on when I go by the timeslip pickup caus thats the guy that checks for it.

It'll look lame if I'm wearing some riced out helmet then spin out and put down a mid-14

the track close to me is like that and it's only an 8th mile.
As long as the helmet is DOT and/or SNELL approved you should be alright.
I have 2 HJC helmets that I wore on my motorcycle and they seem to be alright.
About $100-$175 at any bike shop.
