Oil filter drain redirector

Oil filter drain redirector
As my son and I are rebuilding the engine in his 2002 GT, we are going to paint it with a POR 15 kit. We are also going to paint the entire engine bay, including removing the K member to paint it separate and paint between it and the unibody, also with POR 15.
Since we are doing all of this, the steering rack will have to come out and we are going to clean that up too. I noticed that with the design of the stock oil filter adapter, oil drains directly onto the power steering rack and K member at every oil change. We could get a filter relocation kit, but I would rather keep it as simple as possible. I was wondering if anyone made some kind of shield that would redirect the oil that drains from the filter on an oil change to keep it off the rack and K-member? We would like to keep everything looking nice and mess-free.

I would go to the junk yard and see if you can find something to modify, my 04 f150 has one too but it doesn't work very well, the oil still makes a mess, I just clean it up really well after I change the oil.

Newer model (04+) F150s and Expeditions had some sort of drain channel that would keep the oil from running all over the place. Might not be an exact fit, but could possibly be modified to fit the bill.
That problem annoys me as well. I usually just use some brake clean to clean out the rack afterwards, but something to direct it away would be a better solution.
On the bright side....it's not a mid-90s Thunderbird
