Blown heads
Good evening everyone,
Let me start by saying probably every question i'm fixing to ask is covered on this site somewhere, i'm sure. I've finally ran my car hot enough to blow the head gaskets. Looks like my stat stuck, and you know the rest. I have roughly 187.000 miles on her. Question is it worth a rebuild? I might have a chance to get a crate motor at roughly half price, of course I would love to go with the 4v with the Eaton on top. But if I can't get that what should I go with? My choice will be a new one, be it a Mach or a earlier 4v. I'm just wondering what model to get for the bang for my buck (forged internals, etc.) Anyone's expertise would be appreciated. BTW my car is a 2003GT with tubular crossmember, Front coilovers, Eibach swaybars, full length welded in connectors, T-56 tranny. As you can see, I've put a little money into her already. This is the next step in the project. Also budget is a concern. I'm sure the story of most people on here. Just trying to figure out the next step. Thanks in advance for your time.

Well, if you are looking at rebuilding the motor with forged internals, have a look at my current thread right here: https://mustangforums.com/forum/4-6l...html?styleid=7
I also detail the process with pictures and give sources for all the parts and prices. Good luck!
