Hey yall!

I need some help trying to figure this one out. I'm noticing my girl idles hard and makes this "gurgling" sound while stopped. Is this truly an IAC solenoid/valve?

Any help is greatly appreciated!

it is the IAC.... mine does the same thing...

do this.. while its running pull the wire connection off... "pay attention when you pull it off..." you will hear the sound imediatley go away... be very quick about this but hurry and put it back on before it stalls out.. just to confirm the gurgling sound is comming from your air filter right??? it happens intermediately... try it.. you will see the sound completley quits...

FYI i bought a new iac BWD brand on ebay for 35$ exactly the same as oreillys brand. im putting it on in the next few days..

It was the IAC for me, I had gurgling as well. I cleaned the old IAC with Carb Cleaner and it helped for a few days, then it came back...

Go with Motorcraft for the IAC, Part# CX1785 for GT's, Rockauto is a good source for parts.

I went to my local Junkyard, grabbed one off a V6 Mustang, and it worked perfectly. Cost me $1. Hope it helps.
