Rear noise? I'm stumped

Rear noise? I'm stumped
I have some noise coming from the rear, but only when turning slightly at slow speeds. Kind of a thumping noise, what could this be? It's strange because I hear nothing when up to speed and it's only when turning, nothing when the wheel is straightened out. Also ONLY at slow speeds (parking lots etc.) I'm about to change my differential fluid but does anyone know what else this might be? It's driving me crazy! I replaced my front wheel bearings could it be my rear bearings? Thanks!

It's a steady rhythmic thumping throughout the turn, particularly when turning left. Changing the front wheel bearings was simple but I can't find any videos of a rear bearing change, is it pretty much the same process?

If your differential clutches or diff pinion gears are acting up it can cause clunking only when turning.
If it is a wheel bearing they aren't too hard to change but you need a big puller to get them out. If the wheel bearings are really trashed though your axles my be toast also.
Unfortunately on the 8.8 rear Ford adopted chevy's bad idea of using the axle as the inner bearing race so if the bearing goes often the axle goes with it.
To change the wheel bearings you have to take the axles out.
If you search on youtube you will hit some videos on rebuilding the 8.8 rear, they'll show how to take the axles out. You need to take a close look at your diff also.
