Default 2002 Mustang Gt Head Unit Replacement

Ok so I was trying to replace my stock double din mach head unit with a new single din Kenwood deck but I ran across a problem with the wire harness, a metra 70-5519.

The connectors coming out of the car looked similar to this: http://www.lincolnvscadillac.com/for...1&d=1336946628

The 16 pin speaker connector fit just fine and gave out sound out of the new deck but the 8 pin amp connector would not fit the amp harness that came with the metra 70-5519. It had the same shape but the metra harness seemed to be bigger. That also leaves the 20 pin connector which I didn't even know existed with nothing to connect to. Anyone know the purpose of this connector? It was connected to the factory head unit but there was no wire harness for it from the metra kit. Am I missing something? Everywhere I read it says that the metra 70-5519 is the only kit that works for my mustang but I just couldn't get the amp connector to fit.

Any help is appreciated. Thanks.
