Need Help Passing Emissions....

It doesn't matter how many miles you put on the car if the certain parameters aren't being met. Trust me I know. I dealt with this earlier this year and drove close to if not over 1000 miles trying to get this figured out.

For vehicle years 1996 through 2000 there can be two incomplete monitors to run the smog test.
For post 2001 and newer vehicles, there can only be one.

After failing the first time, I found out I had two incomplete monitors. After doing a smoke test, it was apparent that there was an issue with my charcoal canister (seems like it wasn't plugged in) but I had already ordered a new once and replaced it anyways. Once that monitor was ticked off, I had 1 incomplete still, went to get smogged and passed.

Thanks for this info man. I appreciate your post. Here in IL we don't have smog test anymore; straight OBDII testing; at least that how they've tested my car since '06. If they don't do a smoke test on my car, what other option should I consider?

theres some stuff in the auto section of walmart called guarantee, my brother swears by it! says it guarantees you will pass emissions ,he used it on his car that would not pass test and passed with flying colors
