Exclamation Mustang Clutch Issue - Need Help!!

I have a 2000 Mustang GT with a stock engine, transmission, and clutch. Recently, I have noticed that when my engine and transmission heat up to running temperature, the clutch pedal gets substantially harder to push in. It also sometimes makes a subtle popping noise half way to the floor. It also sometimes feels like it is grinding while I put the pedal to the floor. I looked at the pedal mechanisms and did not see anything unusual. Is my clutch and/or cable going bad? Is it a transmission problem? Any information helps.

Follow the cable from the fire wall down to the transmission, look for spots where it might be touching the exhaust manifold or pipes. Look for cracks in the sheathing and other abnormalities. If the cable looks good and is not touching the exhaust any place it may be due to a faulty throw out bearing.

Default Thanks

Thanks for the info. I got some info from a local mustang mechanic. Sounds like it is either the throwout bearing or the pilot bearing.
