Default T-45 Tranny/Clutch Question.

Alright symptoms first;

When im shifting at the track at high rpm's there is a huge threshold before going into the gear. It cause me from running 14.3's to running 14.7's just off of the shifting. Now i was sure it was the syncros until one of my friends said it may just be the clutch. The tranny never grinds, like i said there is just a giant threshold before entering the gear and lots of times bounce out (then sometimes grind just cause i leave the clutch out when shifting fast).

So I pretty much have to granny shift it to a new extreme to make sure the gear goes in. I'm sure i could shift faster, however if it doesnt get passed the threshold i will grind cause the clutch will be let out so I've been hisitant and making sure its in gear before letting out the clutch... meaning lots of lost time.

Any help, whether its the syncros or possibly the clutch.

I have the exact same problem. I would love to know what the deal is. It only happens at the track right? Regular shifting is works perfectly

I had the same problem, but unfornatunly I cant say much b/c I had my clutch changed due to a blown throw out bearing. My guess it would have to do with the throw out bearing. I remember the symptoms were, granny shift 1st to 2nd and sometimes 2nd to 3rd. If I powershifted or attempted a fast shift, forget it GRRRIIINDDD. Just do like me, go have fun, power shift a few times and replace the whole clutch.

I'm having this problem too. If I run second gear up to 5000-5200 RPM and I try to put it into 4th (because I'm on the street... usually a little fun to accelerate hard ), it won't go in no matter how hard I pull for almost a full second, until the RPMs drop some. 04 GT with the TR3650... I understand that it is because the synchros need to catch up, but it is still pretty annoying for Tremec's claim of "advanced synchronizer design."
