Default LCA for a Mustang GT

I see some companies have rear control arm sets for 79-04 and some have sets for the 79-98/ 99-04. What is the difference between them if they are all built on the same chassis?

The difference between '79-'98 and '99-'04 so far as I'm aware is the bolt diameters. The arms themself I'm pretty sure are identical. The companies whose part # lists for '79-'04, only thing I can think of is maybe they are supplied with bushings for either application.

If you have not yet taken the time to educate yourself on control arms and why some are better than others and why some are complete crap, be sure to click on "The Official Suspension Guide" sticky in the suspension subforum here.

UCA fitment is the same from 79-04. LCAs on the other hand, use 12mm bolts from 79-98 and 14mm from 99-04.

UPR Products makes the best control arms on the market. They are Made in America, they carry a Lifetime Guarantee, and a discount is available for mf.com members.
