I'd put some gears on it first, and some intake and exhuast before PI swap, its expensive.

but the PI swap will net you more HP than anything short of a power adder.

True..but its rather expenisive for a 17year old, and he'd notice a big improvment with the gears for the price

That is a great price on both the intake and the heads. You would have to shop around for the other stuff required to install it all. You will need the gasgets and ect. probley be another 100-200 bucks worth of stuff. You can do this swap yourself if you have some help, and that would save you a lot of the money on labor.

well i am 17 but for not beeing able to drive for the last 6 months i was able to save up a little over 2k and i got 1300 left, i emailed a guy at higgins performance ford in douglasville GA inquiring about prices. he worked on my uncles '02 cobra. i'd really like to have this done first tho. the most involved thing ive done to a car is swap out throttle bodies on my v6 honda so i doubt i could do it right the first time and i dont have the right tools anyways.

btw: ive noticed in searching around for the pi swap, things like that are much cheaper than they were for my v6 honda....i like it

he'd notice a lot of power from a bottle too. it'll cost him about the same price as gears would. i'd go for the gears first though.
