About to tear down the underside...advicem
Hey guys I have been reading a ton on these forums. I love the info. I bought a 2001 Gt convertible about 9 months ago. It's in great shape, but I am going to do a bunch to it. Already did some of the mods on the beginners mods sticky. (Tb, plenum, cai, bama tuner)
I just ordered Mac headers, mid pipe and cat back, exedy stage 1 clutch kit. My plan is to do all of it at one time, since the tranny will be out and exhaust already pulled.
I want to change the rear main while I'm doing this too.
Do any of yall have any advice, ideas or suggestions while I have the car apart? Things I should look for? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Good luck with your build. The guys here will steer you in the right direction.
One thing I would do is not use the stock header gaskets that come with the headers. Also the exedy clutch has had a problem with the TOB (Throw out Bearing) that comes with the clutch kit. I would recommend buying the Ford Racing TOB. GL

Thanks for the heads up in the TOB. I will check out the Ford racing one for sure.
I also bought the Ford racing header gaskets.
I was going to save some cash and bring it all to a shop, but after reading the clutch replacement write up here, I'm capable of doing it my self.
