I was just wondering how to get about 500hp out of a 98 4.6l without nitrous or a supercharger. Is it possible? I know with heads cams intake injectors and tuning you can get about 350(thats what they claim).

i think you could get it if you bump the compression up to like 13.0:1 then get a 5.0 stroker kit and then all forged lightweight internals and some wicked cams and some extremely ported heads with bigger valves and a full exhuast with LT headers and a P-51 intake with new injectors and a bigger TB and a more free flowing maf. pretty much like code3gt's setup... idk if you would get 500 though but it would be close. best way to get there cheap is nitrous or blower... i chose the blower route.

i dont think it is possible to make 500hp out of a na 4.6, get a C6 Zo6 engine a smallblock 427 then you are close

theres no way you are getting 500 hp na out of a 4.6 2v.

Getting 500 out a 4v 5.4 is a little different though.

Without Bulletproofing your bottom end the most you can make is like 430. It was done in Muscle Mustang and Fast Fords.

you could do a big bore block and a stroker crank and get it up to 323 cid bump the compression up to about 12:1. a set of 4v heads Might as well because your never gonna get there with stock nonpi's a good set of cams sheet metel intake. of coarse all the little stuff like tb mass air headers. i think it could be done
