exhaust leak fixed. impressed myself
I habe a 2001 gt convertible. I post a while ago about changing the clutch, tob, pilot bearing and fly wheel (exedy stage 1 clutch kit with a Ford tob). I also did long tube headers, mid pipe and cat back (all MAC). Since I was on jack stands and never done any of this before it took aboutique 4 days. Because I tried to get the exhaust manifolds out without dropping the k member.
Well after I got it all back together I drove it about 1000 miles to tampa. Realized I has a leak in the driverside header gasket.
So yesterday (sunday) I got to it. 8 am I started. Dropped the k member, pulled the headers off, snapped a stud, fixed the stud issue. Then changed the gaskets, used copper gasket maker on the gaskets to be sure. Then put the headers on and bolted the k member back on. Everything except the tires are back on the car. It was done by 7pm. I hope it doesn't leak again. Next step is the tubular k member if it does. So I should not have pull it all down with that on there.
