Default motor Transmission and headers

I'm going to buy a rebuilt motor Eventually. My question is, can you pull the motor out with the transmission and headers still attached? Will it all fit through the engine bay?
My next question. Anyone have a good place to check out for buying a rebuilt motor? I'm looking for a 2v.
My plans are to put a stage 1 comp cam in while the motor is still on the stand. Also get the heads ported and valve job for the cam. I will send the heads off from My current engine to get done while I mess with the rest of the car.

I've personally never pulled the engine yet. I too plan to pull it one winter and cam it. If I remember correctly from what I've read, most recommend dropping the trans before pulling the motor.
