Default 2000 gt won't pull over 4000rpm

Ok I'm having an odd issue. Its like the throttle hits a wall at 4000 rpms. Occasionally it will pull to 5800 but most often it's 4000. I just installed a new upstream O2 and all 8 accel coil packs. I had a check engine light for the O2 and had an occasional misfire and mismatched coil packs so I upgraded. The car now runs smoother but still hits a wall at 4000. When parked I can rev to redline. Not sure what the issue is. Anyone have some insight?

TPS? That is an easy thing to test with a ohm meter.

So does it hit 4k and absolutely will not climb any higher? Or does it still go above 4k but just with barely any power?

It's like redline at 4k. I've traced it to a fuel pressure issue. I have 35lbs at idle and 10-15 at 4k so I'm ordering a new pump. Looking at a walbro 190 along with a new fuel filter.

When was the last time you changed the filter? Sounds like you found the issue though!

Definitely go with a slightly bigger than stock pump. It'll be one less thing down the road you have to worry about if you want more power
