Default 98 4.6l head swap

im thinking about buying a 98 gt 5 speed with the old heads and swappin out the heads and intake for the 99+ heads and intake, along with porting and polishing the heads, intake, and throttle body

how hard would the head swap be, and how much does it cost to port and polish the pi heads with a 4 angle valve job. i can do the intske and the throttle body easily

also once thats done if i add intake maf pulleys and exhaust with stock headers how much hp will i get at the crank

and do the mustangs come with a clutch radiator fan.

do you also think that if i have the 99+ intake that when i do supercharge it i will need the superchargers for the 99+ engines

I have a 98. On my old motor i did the head swap. With the ported heads, you might really want to do the cams while everything is off. The cams are where your power is. A stage 2 is great for the street. It will be alot cheaper just to buy the whole swap kit. It comes with all the gaskets, everything you need. Powerheads Performance Inc. Has the whole kit. Here is the number 714-992-4909. They have everthing you need. Just be careful running boost. My motor blew running boost, because the fuel pump went. And the motor had a little detination problem. So you'll be ok just make sure your tunned right to always get enough gas. If you need any more help, or a parts list of everything just post it and i will help you out.

Sounds good. What are you doing this to. Cause a 96 and later GTs already have electric fans.
