Well after a 91 v8 firebird......then a 94 firebird formula, i go on to my next car, a 2003 mustang gt. It's my first new car that I have gotten and its fun. Got the new car smell and everything. The car runs nice too. I definelty miss my power though. Goin from a 5.7 liter 300+ hp engine, to the 4.6 liter 260 is a little sad. But anyway, how much money would I have to put into this car in order to get the neck snap that i miss? Or do I just have to deal with the less powerful engine and work on refining it more? I was already thinking of the basic intake, exhaust, and looks like the car definetly needs a shift kit. I was planning on slp exhaust since thats what my firebird wore and i got numerous complimants about it. does it sound good on mustangs? Well thats it for now <edited><editID>lineb</editID><editDate>37978.0670138889</editDate></edited>

nobody here has gotten SLP because everyone on here insists on magnaflow. i say go for it and prove that its not the only performance exhaust out there worth getting</P>

I totally agree with you, prove something with a different name. Magnaflow is good quality, but the sound to me sucks. Its missing the "mustang sound".</P>

reason I don't codon slp..is there were chevy only and until 2003 they didn't give a rat's *** about mustangs so I will not buy from them mac has been onboard for 10= years...dr gas makes a great x pipe that you can run 3" or 3.5" tail pipes which look and sound great.
put in a set of 3:73 or 4:10 and a transgo shift kit with a sweet *** 2500 stall convertor...don't worry about the intake at this point..a chip will also help a good deal such as a PMS OR TWEECER they are great and will be will you though every mod

Good point Vfast.</P>

Go for some 4.10 gears, headers, x or h pipe with Magnaflow/Dynomax/SLP.</P>

I know everyone has flowmaster, including myself. but i think nohtin sounds as good as a flowmaster mufflers on a mustang. I never heard the SLP on a mustang before, it might sound good. Change the exhaust, intake, computer, and a set of gears and you'll be well on your way to snapping your neck back.

Sounds good, yea after i've been driving it around im having some fun, I'll go with slp since i like the brand so much. I'm not in all the mustang hertitage stuff since ive been gm forever lol, so i'll go with the brand i know. The x and h pipe thing is odd to here when im used to y pipe lol. I had flowmaster on my 91 bird, and liked it, just got annoyed at how every car sounded the same. So I'll go and look into this stuff. On a side note, i get my first hit when i get this car lol, some guy slide into the back of me tonight, luckily no damage, but i never been hit before except when i get a new car, figures lol
