Default Bassani Headers

I was looking on Bassani's web page, and it doesnt say they make a L/T header. They call it OPTIMUM LENGTH. Whats that mean? Why would that be better than l/t. I am asking, b/c i am already making plans for my 03 cobra. Thanks

you are talking about the mid-length headers. they are as long as possible without loosing any ground clearance. also you will not have to unbolt one when you decide to do a clutch. from what I have heard they are just as good as anyother LT I am sure someone will chime in if I am wrong. the only problem with them is they cost so damm much. if you got the coin bassani is the way to go. in my personal opinon the best sounding cat-back. just so damm pricey

I like the SLP in my opion it is the loudest and most muscely, I'd go witht he SLP LT headers if i was spending that much money they are like 750 or so but i know the exhuast sounds great on any muscle car so headers must be up there.

I have Bassani Mid-Length headers W/cats on my 04 GT.I like them but they are no easier to install than long tubes.I believed that since they came as individual tubes they would be an easy install.WRONG!!! The K-member had to be dropped and the engine raised.I started the job and gave up after setting my whiskers on fire with a torch. The dealer was the only place in town that would even allow me into their shop with this job.Labor cost $620 but was worth every penny. This was eight months and 10,000mi.ago and the head pipes look like they did the day they were installed.I have had no leaks or any rattles and they sound good. Not too loud, but when you get on the gas they let you know they're there. MM&FF did a test using a full Bassani exhaust with cats and got 17+ HPand 17+ ft/lbs of torque on a stock 02?GT.
