Clutch squeal for a year now****
torsiondrummer, WOW, this sounds like to unrelated issues, ie, metal squealing, and won't stay running. BUT, I'm just guessing here. Could someone have installed a "hydraulic clutch conversion kit " in your car, if you are not the original owner? My assumption is, the engine not running right will be resolved as soon as the clutch/squealing issue is resolved. Or, the engine problem was a separate issue resulting from something happening when your son was driving back from school? Please advise.

Lost
Buck, at this point I’m lost. I don’t know what to try to even figure out if I need to tear into the tranny and clutch area.
I read other posts who for troubleshooting recommended removing the serpentine belt for less than a minute to see if its an alternator, or something not engine related -

WOW, I am a bit confused about whose problem we are working with. We started out with GTMustang1996, and now I realized I am responding to torsiondrummers issues. Please, one post at a time.

Buck, I appreciate your advice, and I was originally replying to this thread (sorry to confuse you), but created a separate thread with my issue found here:
