Transmission? Rear? Etc?
Okay I have a quick opion from someone....Okay I have a 96 Auto Gt w/overdrive.
Takeing off it... shifts once....okay then shifts again with the overdrive off....then driving along its like it going over a ruff road like it slides into gear but doesnt shift again. The car runs fine.
Okay what do you think?

It is most likley your overdrive gear is going or is going bad. Sounds like it it time for a re-build on that trans. If that is what you do I would suggest that you add a trans. cooler and If you want you can get a shift kit and a higher stall torque convertor.
