I had a similar problem. For me, it was the "blend air door" there's a door behind the center console that goes up or down. With AC running, the hot air is still pumping in. Based on where you set the thermostat(All the way blue, all the way red, or in middle), depends how "open" or "closed" this door is, to blend the cold and hot air to reach your desired temperature. Sometimes, this door fails. Easy fix to hold it open with a piece of wire, then remove the wire in the winter. . . but permanent fix is a bit pricey. I just prop the door open or closed based on the season. But hopefully, this gives you another troubleshooting point.

And btw, you obviously have to remove a panel to get to the door. With panel removed, the air flows out the hole you created, instead of up through the vents. So its not visible just by removing the radio. You gotta dig a bit. . . propping the door takes me about an hour total. About 3 hours the first time my noob *** did it. LOL!

I had the same problem. Mine just turned out to be a missing AC Pressure fuse in the power distribution box under the hood.

well first... is the compressor running? 2nd... what are the high and low side pressures? without knowing these 2 things you have no idea, if the system is charged properly, if the issue is electrical, or if the issue is caused by an air distribution concern. if you cant find out, time to take it to someone who can.

Default Ac not cold

Before you spend a bunch of money, try cleaning out the evaporator drain as well. Just had this issue. AC was just blowing kind of cool air not ac at all. Turned out the evaporator drain was plugged up. Pushed a bent over coat hanger end in there and moved it around a bit and it cleared the drain. Ice cold AC again.

Should be on the outside firewall just over the passenger side exhaust manifold. I know this because my wife's 2002 had a cracked manifold from the ac draining on it.

I jacked up my car and pulled the wheel off just for room. If you open your passenger door, look under the dash, you will see the black box and where it goes through the fire wall. That will give you an idea where to look in the engine bay.

My 00 had the same problem, Compressor was kicking on fine, refrigerant level was good. Turned out that the vacuum line connected to the vacuum res behind the glove box came off. I used a little superglue to hold the vacuum line back in place and it was ice cold after that.
