The old cable was completely seized in the sleeve. Got a BBK one with the firewall adjuster and it works great now.

And what exactly is the advantage of the 3 hook quadrant?

the factory plastic quadrant is weak and prone to flexing, the 3 hooks give a flexibility in how you choose to set up your cable, (without firewall adjuster and adjustable cable or factory cable with firewall adjuster)

A little update... So new clutch was put in.. Grabs nice. Still have the slight engagement issue where its maybe an inch or 2 from letting the pedal up from the floor.. Also hearing a little chatter.. Now that could be from not giving enough gas/throttle so I won't jump to far with it..

But the whole engagement part.. I realize it's all still new.. Clutch and cable.. I added an adjustable cable and have adjusted it out to try and make the engagement/pedal better.. But still feels... Off? Or still too close to the floor..

I don't want to keep adjusting out since I feel the **** will fall right off.. Correct me if I'm wrong on that one..

But than.. I've been having a thumping/clunking feeling from the rear.. The techs said it were my rear gears going out on me.. So nownim wondering..... If that's the case, could that also be contributing to whatever clutch'ish/feeling issues I may be having....?

When you have an adjustable cable, the firewall adjuster should only be used for fine-tuning. Screw it all the way back in and tighten the cable down by the bellhousing. Then use the firewall adjuster to take up remaining slack.

What does your quadrant look like? Do you still have the plastic OEM setup?

in my experience, the adjustable cables are crap, and the firewall adjuster is all that is needed. if you run into problems, just install an OEM cable. good luck

With the clutch I actually added a new quadrant and cable setup/adjustable cable setup- the kit is from maximum motorsports.

After reading around, a lot of people said to go with this and not look back. Yet now I'm looking back.. Lol
