Looks pretty easy. I'm installing the springs and shocks so I figure if I'm halfway there I might as well do the control arms too. I think the Mac looks good also for $230 for upper and lower together.

I had a Mac cat-back and prochamber and I'll say that was some very strong and well constructed stuff, just too loud. That's why I changed it. Very heavy also. The H-pipe and cats are also very strong parts. Thick and heavy.

Mac, from what I have heard only makes quality exhaust. Anything else is usually pretty shotty quality.

ORIGINAL: nanaki

are control arms difficult to install yourself, or is it better to get a shop to do it?

They are really easy. You have to drop part of the catback to get to the forward bolts. Also, make sure you have two hyd jacks atleast. Better if you have three. The rear end has a tendency to twist when one side is loose.

I am going to purchase those Granatelli control arms, but cool blue performance wants to charge me $30 for an over weight item. Thats rediculous. I think I am going to search around for someone cheaper, most places dont even charge for shipping. Let alone they dont weight more than 10 pounds.

the rear control arms link the rear axle to the chassis. stock control arms are made of cheap stamped steel they flex a great deal under stress. also the stockers have soft rubber for bushings these again are because of cost also they give a smooth ride. aftermarket control arms are either boxed or tubular steel. they have urathane bushings which don't deflect as much under load. they are night and day diffrence between the stockers. very worth the money. they inprove traction in every aspect as far as handling and launching. they ride alittle firmer but are not bad. they get rid of that jiggle going over uneven surfaces.

I ended up getting the Mac uppers and lowers for 249 shipped. I did find the Blue oval ones for up to 03 it says. The Blue oval looks alot like the Mac actually. The Granatelli control arms seem as if I see alot of sites putting there names on those same arms. I could be wrong but they look exactly the same as a few other brands I saw. I know Mac manufactures there own stuff so I put my bet on them. I'll let you guys know how I like them.
