new guy. needs input on mild build 02 GT convertible
So i recently picked up this 02 GT convertible (dressed up like a cobra... i know i know).
It came with a Borla cat back, BBK cold air. 275's front 315's rear Nitto 555's on 9/10.5" wide wheels... My other buddy gave me a strut tower brace and lower plenum. They're sitting in a box in the corner. Here's what it looks like now:
So as you can see. it sits like a 4x4.
I bought as set of H&R SS springs from a buddy that had them new in the box. Because i need to get it down. it hurts me to look at all that gap.
So the purpose of this mustang is a weekend cruiser/ice cream getter that i MAY occasionally autox. I have the ST for autox so really that's way way way down on the list. But i want the thing to look good. and i dont want to dump big $ into it. I want to keep it "bang for buck".
So i bought the H&R's. Can i get away with Cam bolts for camber correction or are CC plates absolutely necessary? I will only put 1500-2000 miles a year on this. It replaced a jeep (another toy) that i put all of 800 miles on last year. So it's definitely a garage queen. My plan right now is:
H&R ss springs (already purchased)
Cam bolts
AGX struts/shocks (maybe?)
Eibach Sway bars
TMI cobra style upholstry.
The 555's on the front are getting thin. if i get another summer out of them i'll be happy. So i thought this might be the time to play with cam bolts vs CC plates. Also, for shocks/struts. AGX's are 398 for a set of 4. I doubt i'll ever mess with adjusting them. And i know there's better (but pricier shocks). is there another option that'll be adequate for what i want to accomplish?
Goals are look good, sound good (that borla sounds awesome), good ice cream cruiser with the kids.
Thanks guys

So an update.
I installed a set of H&R SS springs with KYB AGX shocks/struts
Pypes offroad X pipe
SCT X4 tuner with Bama tunes
4.10 gears and master install kit are sitting in the trunk ready to go in
B&M short shifter is in
new kenwood head unit, 2 MB quart amps and 2 sets of components and a Rockford Fosgate 10 are going to go in as soon as i get time.
Traded the cowl hood for a factory scooped hood
cobra badges are gone with factory style GT badges in their place (not shown)
my buddy gave me a carbon fiber cowl so that's on it now to replace the broken one.
only things left are cams and maybe doing the interior.

Looks great. I would strongly recommend removing the junk subframe connecters tha come stock on the convertibles and getting a full length set welded in. It will not only handle way better but will even improve the ride. That is one of the best things I did on my Mach1.
