Default vibration/thumping noise from rear of car

Hey all, new here.
I have searched and could not find any results of what the answer to what i am experiencing

2004 GT 40th anni, 5 spd.
car has 4.10s, factory shocks from 04 and eibach springs.
57k miles.

when cornering under acceleration I hear a weird thumping noise coming from what sounds like the rear suspension.
also makes the same noise if i launch on the street and spin the tires, along with some wheel hop (which i do not do often, as wheel hop breaks stuff..)

it happens while turning left and right, but only at 30+ mph and moderate throttle. pretty sure its not the diff, since the car has super low miles at 57k.

im told its most likely my rear shocks, or the upper/lower control arms, as they are stock.

any ideas?

feels very similar to when I had blown struts on my last car. kind of clunky over bumps sometimes.

Yeah sounds like wheel hop. Aftermarket lower control arms will pretty much solve that. Read the "official suspension guide" thread in the Suspension subforum here to get an idea of what good and bad lca's are; there are quite a few different ones out there and by design they are not all created equal.

New shocks probably aren't a bad idea either, but I'd concentrate on the lca's.

brought the car up to 110-115 today, heard a strange vibration coming from the rear, like a wheel bearing whurwhurwhurwhurwhur.
Ill be doing upper and lower control arms and lakewood 50/50 shocks for the rear hopefully soon.

hope that fixes it, and its not a diff issue.
