I didnt suggest anything I simply stated the fact that some gears arent practical for everyone and provided a link to more info. Not everyone is looking for the steepest gear they can afford...just a little extra power. I personally plan on going with 4.30's...

don't listen to this guy. 4.10s or nothing. i made the mistake of listening to guys like this before getting my gears. i regret not going with 4.10s. i do highway driving, have forced induction and a 5 speed and still want 4.10s.

If you do a lot of highway driving go with 3.73's, 4.10's if you dont do that much highway driving. You can also split the difference and go with 3.90's.

I am so glad that so many have seen the light! I remember there was a time when over 1/2 the people on this forum were all about 3.73's. Since then most have come from the dark side!

What people dont realize is that the 4.6 motor is more efficient at 2200-2400 rpms cruising speeds than it is at 1900 rpms. I had 4.10's in my GT and made a few trips to GA from TX and back and still got 325-350 miles per gallon on the highway at 75 mph. 4.10's are the perfect gear for a 3650 tranny. They should actually be a stock option. Personally I wanted to go to 4.30's after I got so used to the 4.10s so fast.

Are u implying that its not the gear for the T-45? I dont think u are, just wondering. I am another sad story of being afraid of 4.10's and i kick myself all the time for not doing it! 3.73's are for losers

The T45 has a different overdrive gear, that its lower. So in all essance, 4.10's in a T-45 equipped vehicle will essentially be like having 4.30's. So you will rev a little higher at highway speeds with the T-45 and 4.10s than you would if you have the 3650 and 4.10s. Not that big of a deal though.
