Default cobra engine

would this be worth buying?

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/2003-...QQcmdZViewItem

i want to put an 03-04 cobra engine or even a 99-02 cobra engine if i have to. what would be the best to do cost wise and performance wise. i have an 00 gt with an intake so not really any money into it and its got about 94k on it.

is that engine in the link i gave complete and readt to install in my gt or would i have to spend a lot to buy parts so it will work? thanks

how much is an ecu?

how about this would this be better than buying the cobra engine? cost wise and then putting a s/c or twin turbo on it?

what your looking to do is an engine swap and from the research ive done and calling around to shops its not worth it. instead of the at least 7k theyll want for that cobra engine plus a whole new harness and install, put a s/c on your car for 7k total and be close enough

redoing the internals is a good idea esp with high miles but again your taking the engine out of the car, so if you do that there goes a bunch of money again

Default RE: cobra engine

the question now is, what would be faster and what would be cheaper?
1) swapping my engine for an 03-04 cobra engine (low miles) basic mods
2)swapping my engine for a 99-02 cobra engine (low miles) basic mods and a couple others than if i got the 03-04 cobra motor
3)forged internals with basic full bolt ons. and a s/c or twin turbo set-up

also what would be faster an 03-04 cobra, 99-02 cobra or a 99-04 GT each with 500 rwhp? any reasons fo one being faster.

and one final question is it possible to make my 2v into a 4v? and if so how much

thanks for all the help and sorry if these are all stupid questions

Fastest would be forging internals on you engine now! KB BLozilla would fit real nice on it. 99-02 cobra engine wouldnt make any sense to me, cuz its not that fast. The 03 04 would be cool and have lots of potential. But the swap would be a biatch.
