Dynomax Ultra Flow Catback Opinions

I have a 2004 Mustang GT (SOHC) with the stock exhaust. I use it as a nice day driver to work and a cruiser with the wife. We are working on planning some light suspension mods and I am putting in a short throw shifter (Steeda).

I would like to upgrade the exhaust to something that is more free flowing and sounds nice at idle and takeoff but is soft at cruise so I can listen to the stereo and talk with my wife. I research this pretty hard on the internet. I came down to the Magnaflows or the Dynomax Ultra Flow SS. I was kind of leaning toward the Dynomax since they use a long fiberglass packing vs the steel wool in the Magnaflows. However, the two pipes from the mufflers to the tips are not SS in the Dynomax (the mufflers and tips are SS but not the long pipes). However, the Mustang has garage space and does not go out in the winter and generally avoids the rain.

I saw that Dynomax is offering a rebate through the end of April which would take another $75 off. Putting the catback kit at around $375. Which is significantly cheaper than the Magnaflows and much much less then the Borlas.

What do you guys think about the Ultra Flows? Should I pull the trigger on the Dynomax kit before the rebate ends?

I love my Borla system, have you looked at their street system? They make the best mufflers on the planet with the best warranty.

I have the UltraFlow Cat Back on my 99 GT and like it very much. It has a nice rumble and no significant drone at freeway cruising speeds. I can carry on a conversation at normal speaking volumes no problem. Not obnoxious sounding like some of the other cat back systems I have heard.

I have a Pypes catted X pipe and dynomax ultra flows. I bought my ultra flows with the same type of deal deal your considering and used the money to buy a mini fridge for the garage at sears:)

For me, another huge selling point was that it was compatible with my maximum motorsports pan hard bar, since it follows the factory routing. I did however have to move the flanges back three inches (where it meets the x pipe)when I installed their torque arm a year later.

I absolutely love the sound and can't help but give the throttle a blip or three when ever I start my car.
