Default Will a 2004 4.6l swap into my 2000.

I have a 2000 GT with a bad motor I found a 2004 motor just wanted to make sure I could drop it right in without any issues. From what I have been reading it's a pretty straight forward replacement but I'd like to be sure. thanks

I believe the 2000 will be the Windsor 4.6 while the 2004 is a romeo. If the 2004 is a complete pull out, oil pan to intake, the only thing to worry about is the flexplate (auto) or flywheel (manual) bolting up. The windsors had 8 bolt crank and romeo had a 6 bolt.
