Default Tranny Swap- 5 speed or 6 speed??

Whats up, What i was wonderin is Im going to be swapping my crappy auto to a manual in my 95 stang gt. What would you guys recommend, stick with a 5 speed or go with a 6 speed. I have only found one place that seems to have 6 speeds (name starts with a T, actually forgot name off top of my head). Anyway, any recommendations? I do like the auto, but tired of getting blown away all the time and need a little excitement when driving. Right now i shift through 1st, 2nd, 3rd just to act like I have a manual (yeah, i know pretty lame). Thanks for any help, oh, and any recommendations on places to get either the 5 or 6 speed tranny would be cool....

Thanks for the input... After doing more research on this, it seems that there really isnt any reason to spend the extra cash and get a 6 speed when i can pick up a 5 speed used or even new for a fairly decent price (of course, I would rebuild used one). So, Im thinking 5 speed it is.. thanks again

If it wasn't that big of a difference in price I would say go with the six speed. With that extra gear you will get better gas mileage on the highway.

a t56 (6speed) will run you about 2500 i think a tko 500 (good 5 speed) will hit you for about 1600. i want a t56 with some gears in my car i just drive way too much on the interstate to put gears in my car with out compensating somewhere.
