Default Possible to go from V6 to V8?

What's different on the V6 mustang compared to a V8 mustang all the way around... besides the engine? Can you swap the motors and computer and be okay? Or do you have to change out the whole rear end?

Is this possible?

Of course its possible. Anything is possible. lol Im not sure about the rear end, but i know the tranny would probably need upgraded. Personally i think you would be better off just selling ur car privately, and buying a GT. Much less hassel, and probably less $. I really dont have a clue if the V6 rearend is 8.8. I dont think it is, but i could be wrong. U are talking about alot of money here. F

Oh wait, I just remembered, I have a 99 GT for sale. Mods are below, sweet car. (Corny way to sling an ad, but it could work. LOL)

I'm not trying to help zw make a sale here, but your best bet is to sell the sixer and pick up an 8. You could probably buy his 99 for what you get out of your 03.

Yeah the GTs have some suspension upgrades, the rear is an 8.8 with t-lok unlike the V6 which is smaller, and only spins one rear wheel... Like everyone is saying it will be cheaper to sell the sixer and get a GT.

Well, I have a 03 mach1 but I want to sell it. I thought I would buy a cheep v6 mustang and buy a 4.6 block with pi heads and get a stroker kit, cams, p-51 intake manifold from Fox Lake, and other needed things. Or would it be better if I went with a gt with high miles? And did the some thing?

A 96 GT with high miles would be dirt cheap. Pick on up and rebuild the engine. The sky is the limit once you go stroked and forged.

i don't know your mechancal abiltiy but you could get a totaled gt and then pretty much have every thing you need but your gonna have to look at the bottom line you can buy a 96 -98 gt fairly cheap.

Buy a nice GT and start your project. You'll be starting out with a V8 and can go from there.
