are the Romeo and Windsor heads not interchangeable?

I was just told I would need the Windsor valve covers and I'd be set?

You will need the valve covers and different front cover bolts. Front cover is fine and you can get the bolts as a set from summit.

Have you tried turning around the cam not sticking and putting it in the suspected bad head to check that it's not the cam.

I would take the other cam out but I had to helicoil one of the bolts. i had not suspected the cam because it did turn fine. I removed the cam to replace a lifter and when i put it back that first tower binds it. I loosened each set of bolts and found it would spin free with the first 2 lose with only 1/4 turn. i will take one of the old cams in and try.

think i know what happened when i took the cam out, i remember it cocking up a little in the rear. but I just applied a lil pressure to the rear it came right off. but i think that bent the front first cam. when i turn the cam and then remove cam caps i get a fine grey oil so i know the cam it eating away at the cam caps.

ok, are these cams the original cams to the motor? did you mix up the caps? You have helicoiled holes and you sanded away material on the caps?

Time to throw those heads away

Go buy a low mile junkyard motor $500.00 - $750.00 put in the car and drive it, you can work on that motor when you have the time and money.

Like i had mentioned before find a tech school near you they might even put the motor in at no cost

This is stupid, why tell someone to give up and not do it yourself and stop trying to learn.
