Default Mach 1 crate motor.

I am thinking about doing an engine swap, I would like to know how strong is the stock mach 1 motor. The mach 1 with the forged steel 8 bolt crank. The manual model one. Whats the weakest link in the motor, how much horspower can the stock motor take before failing? It seems a much better option than a cobra motor because it has an aluminum block. Plus ford racing isnt offering any. Any information on this engine will be greatly appreciated. Thanks

If i remember right they still use the cast pistons and poweder steel rods. but fo about 1000 you can toss a good set of rods and pistons in there and have a great engine.

Does anyone know for sure what the short block can take?
