Driver side window issue. 2000 gt mustang
Driver side window never worked when i got this car. I replaced the window motor and still no sound of it working. Then I switched the two buttons on the driver side door for windows and still nothing happened. Only my passenger window was working. I did notice that the one touch sensor was no where in sight and no signs of it being cut off. One other thing was after replacing the motor a few days later the window just rolled down. I rolled it back up and it never did it again. Any ideas on how to get it working all the time?

stop swapping out stuff, get a wiring diagram and troubleshoot the system. your problem is intermittent, and if you actually diagnose it, you will probably find it to be a wiring issue. common places for wiring concerns in doors are the harness boots in the door jam, they flex the wires over and over until they break, sometimes they will touch again and start working, but as soon as they are moved they will pull apart and back to not working again.

Update about the window. I check all fuses and they were good as well as the wiring and messing with it all to make sure there was a good connection. A friend of mine also check the plugs to the motor and at some point had no amps i believe. I went ahead and pulled a gem module from a v6 (99-04)and it fixed the driver side window. Been working since and everything else seems to work fine too. Interior lights, Dash, windows. Thank you all!
