It's not just the intake, it's also heads. Plus, you have to consider which year Cobra you're looking at. 03/04 have complete forged internals and can take a big huffer.

Again, the 1.7 is great for a daily driver, but the 2.2 was designed for racing apps. My guess is that it is also a bear to tune, as the 1.7 can be bought as a nearly complete setup, vs. picking the pieces with the 2.2

Procharger is the best centifugal IMO.
I agree with this for racing purposes (they are in most of the serious drag racer mustangs). However, several people have found vortechs to do extremely well in milder mustangs, especially 2V Mustang GTs. The SQ trim also tends to be a bit quieter. I've also seen some sick stangs with paxtons at the track though.
