99,000 miles isnt to bad for a 96 mine has 126,000 on it and it runs great. Just know that a stock 96GT is slow as hell, i ran mine on saturday with 3:73's at 15.3 at 89mph...so he better plan on modding it to get it fast, i love the car tho!

I have a 97 GT with 105000. It hauls *** and doesnt do anything it shouldn't. The only thing though is I need to rebuild the trans.... all is well I will be taking a class for that...
I bought it from a mechanic who bought it from the original dealer-maintained owner... SOLID
99000 is not bad... so long as it was maintained..

I can stay within 2 car lengths of my friends 02 auto, both stock.
I can do some pretty nice burnouts and definately scare most of my friends in a staight line, lets see what they say when the nitrous and pi/full exhaust stuff goes from the garage to the car
EDIT: Don't go too fast, I hardly ever take my car past 80 or 90 on the highway if there are other people in the car, and stay within the speedlimits in town.

Me, i have 105k on my 97GT and it burns out, hauls ***, runs smooth, gets good MPG under normal conditions, goes 120 easily... so if it's maintained it will go indefinitely....
Slick I agree 100% with your edit, definitely I keep other passengers safety above anything, and try to keep it no more than 5mph over in town....
