Question about lowering
So I went ahead and had the Mustang lowered a few weeks ago, the guy I bought it from included a brand new 1.5" SR lowering kit from American Muscle, included springs, rubber, camber casters & strut tower bar.
After driving it for a few weeks I noticed the ride is a lot harder, stiffer, my question is this mustang has 93,000 miles on it, should I replace the front struts & rear shocks, if so, when I order them should I mention the vehicle sits 1.5" lower or does it really matter?
I love the performance of this kit, awesome handling, but I dont care for the ride quality
Thanks

New shocks and struts will help a little, but assuming what's on there currently is worn they will firm it up a bit.
My car is dropped 2" on Sportlines, has been for 8 or 9 years now. I just FINALLY got around to new shocks/struts, the ride quality (choppy, bouncing a little, *** end bottoming out occasionally) from the very worn Monroes that came with the car when I bought it at 57K and going to Koni str.t's did improve ride quality a ton. Didn't make it any softer obviously, just less punishing and more controlled. So long story short, shocks/struts will help a little but they aren't the cure.
If you want it softer but still lowered, get better springs. Eibach ProKit, Vogtland, H&R Sport, Steeda, anything listed as being a progressive rate (as opposed to specific rate) will offer a much better ride quality.
