Roll bar for convertible

I'm curious if anyone has fabricated a roll bar for their convertible. If yes, how did you do it? Pics would be great. I am thinking it can be done with mandrel bent exhaust piping. I'm just not sure where it be bolted to the car.

I'm not an expert on roll bars but would exhaust piping be strong enough to support itself during a roll over?

You can check out 4 or 6 point roll bars online to get an idea of the material and where they would be bolted/welded into the car.

Exhaust piping is way too thin imo.Guaranteed to collapse.

Might as well use PVC pipe (which is being used by a ricer in my town!).
