Anyone running MT drag RADIALS?

Im currently running Nitto DR's, but they are worn, and didnt stick like I thought. Anyone ever run the MT DRAG RADIALS or ET Streets? Im looking for a softer compound tire, my 2.02 60ft needs improvement. Wanna run em on the street though so Radials may be the way to go. Curious how much different they are than the ET Streets. How many miles did you get from the ET Streets? Radials? Thanks.

ET Radials are very soft, almost too soft for the street. I bought a pair and mounted them on seperate 15in. rims. I have about 4 passes on them, and have had them on for a few weekends, maybe about 10 days, and they have not worn too much. You should very easily go under 2sec short time with them. I would not recomend using them every day, especially if you get any kind of rain.

Also, when i put them on a few minutes after i start driving the ABS light comes on, it goes off after i turn the car off and restart it. Does this happen to anyone else?

with dragradials or et streets i would recomend a second set of rims to mount them on. it is worth the investment in the long run you won't have to buy tires every 9k miles. et streets are baiscaly a slick with a couple o grooves (just enought to get dot ceritfied) dragradials arn't gonna hook as well but behave better on the street.

i have the MT ET Street Radial which means that in addition to the two little grooves, i have small grooves to help it behave somewhat.

Still it pulls in cracks on the road, is dangerous in teh rain (TC saved my car from having dinner with a telephone pole the other night)

as far as their grip,,, it was too much for me the last time i was there
my best 2.05 60' was on a launch at about 3K and i bogged it

i had one launch at 4K and spun, but i had a TERRIBLE burn out, actually, it didnt do much burning,

i have a 99GT 5sp, 4.10's and partial exhaust for reference

i also use them all the time now, but am very gentle on them, have about 1700 miles and showing no tread wear

Yes True, good traction.
ALSO: I hear they can not be driven on the "highway" is this true?
I am getting some as well (keeping my stock tires/wheels for everyday/long trips)
and putting some 17X9's on rear with MT's 275/40/17s

I have them and they are the best drag radials out there in my opinion, not good in the rain like the nittos. You have to run like 15 pds of air pressure at the track for ultimate traction and launch at 4 grand.

ok great! Thanks for the input. I think I have enough gear, mods, and HP not to bog, Im going to start at 14-15psi and a 3500 launch and go up from there. I was launching at 2500 with the Nitto's and 18psi with some spin and dumping the clutch. 1.9 here I come!:D
