yup went oem motorcraft plugs its kinda hard to better ford products for sure, same goes for tb also the factory tb seems very Responsive better than the bbk, no big power gains to be had from bbk 78 mm ,unless i go forced induction anyhow or supercharged

I'm looking at new plugs and coils for my supercharged '01 GT, and all the research I've done both here on this forum and talking to an independent and a Ford mechanic is, at least in my case, to stick with Motorcraft coils and plugs.

On topic, I had a problem with an unstable idle and periodic stalling a couple years ago. New IAC and rectifying a vacuum leak fixed the problem for me.

FWIW I also have the BBK 78mm TB on mine. No issues there that I know of. Just need to scrape together the funds for a proper Ford Racing PI intake manifold to replace the Dorman garbage previous owner installed...typical failure at the coolant hose port has leaked coolant into the back right spark plug wells causing misfire. Arg.

Yup i have the ford raceing pi intake had to replace factory intake dureing cam install due to water hose fitting crack , the bbk tb was good for awhile on mine but went south after couple cleanings think main prob with my bbk tb was it was sticking , had rpms hanging really bad , which led me to removeing it to see if it would solve issue and sure enough wala!!

well the idle surgeing still remains thought changeing tb fixed the issue but nope , so now im leaning toward timeing issue or a torque conveter issue ,gonna take in to local shop tommorow tired of pulling my hair out trying to figure it out

Bummer, man...that's frustrating!

You're *sure* it's not the IAC valve? Like maybe the replacement isn't working right?

Got to be a vacuum leak, double check all hose connection, how old are the vacuum lines fairly inexpensive to just replace them all

Dam, though you had it
